Everything begins with preparing and attesting your educational documents. Before applying to Austrian universities, you should have the following documents ready.

VFS receives your documents, forwards them to the Embassy for legalization, and returns the legalized documents once processing is complete.

Collecting Your Documents

Once legalization is complete, VFS will notify you. You can either:

• Collect your documents in person, or
• Select courier delivery when submitting your application.

Once your documents are legalized, you are ready to apply to universities. Most Austrian universities require legalized educational documents before issuing admission. However, policies differ.

Some universities:

• Require legalized documents before evaluating your application.

• Give conditional admission.

Appointment Invitation

Once your appointment is confirmed, the Embassy will send you an email containing:

• Appointment date
• Required documents
• Application forms
• Submission instructions

You must appear in person at the Austrian Embassy in Islamabad on the scheduled date.

After submitting your application, your documents are forwarded to the competent Austrian authorities.

Processing Time

The official processing time is approximately 3 months. However, actual processing may vary depending on:

Where Can the Money Be Held?

The funds must be:

Once your Residence Permit is approved, you will receive an approval notification from the relevant Austrian authority.
